why won't my john deere snow blade lift up more than an inch?

Question: My John Deere 335 Garden Tractor has a blade 48 of snow "is hyraulically lifted. However, my blade lifts only 1" above the ground. What could be the problem here?

Answer: Low hydraulic fluid or the pressure regulator valve stuck open.
