Westlake became the Spartans’ latest sap last Saturday night at Home Depot Center in the CIF State Football Championship Extensive Division Bowl Game.

De La Salle put two quick touchdowns on the scoreboard—on rushes of 36 and 2 yards—before Westlake could get its terms early in the first quarter and then methodically pounded its way to a 35-0 championship-caliber quelling.

In claiming their third consecutive Open Division crown, the Spartans (13-1) rushed for 275 yards on 51 carries. They attempted only 12 passes.
