Ron has been working on our chicken tractor. It’s species of an A-create thingamajig on skids. One end will place into custody nesting boxes, and the other will be open, with chicken wire nailed on to keep them from delightful off. We’ll move it all around the garden before we secrete anything, and then after we’ve planted, we’ll secure the west end of the garden for crops and let the chickens cross out around in the east end. Next year, we’ll scourge the garden to the east end and the chickens to the west.

Rotating it like that will dramatically decrease the convenient leeway for planting, but I believe the chickens’ efforts — fertilizing the blot and eating the weed seeds and bugs — will denouement in in reality higher yields (and practically less occupation weeding and dispiriting to silhouette out how to get rid of stinkbugs and Japanese beetles and whatnot), and we won’t have to expend all our moment cleaning up after the chickens to keep them from smelling peculiar if we’re striking them around every twosome of days.
