It's called East meets West, but it has nothing to do with U.S./China relations or snappish-specify football rivalries.
Rather, it is the name countryside deviser Paul Burd gives to a 5,000-on equal terms-foot garden being constructed this week for Thursday's start of the 29th annual West Michigan Shelter and Garden Show at DeVos Mortify.
"It's honourable a garden with an Oriental atmosphere to it," said Burd, of Rivertown Landscapes, of Rockford. "I don't be informed, it very recently seemed like a fun emotional attachment to do; you're always looking for something that seems a hardly new."
This garden, one of more than a dozen, is not what you'd typically suppose to see in the neighbor's backyard. It has dozens of bamboo plants, an admittance gate, Zen stone garden and tea company overlooking a Koi pond.
Burd is one of many people working on the showpiece garden by the Intimacy of Sumptuous Rapids Scene Professionals .
